Sebastopol: The old Poncia Dairy, located on Burnside Road and spanning 211 ridgetop acres, has a rich history. A friend of mine noted that the Poncia family began their agricultural endeavors back in the 1930s with horse-drawn plows and wagons. It’s interesting to consider that during that time, Sonoma County’s population hadn’t yet reached 70,000, the Golden Gate Bridge hadn’t been constructed, and travel to San Francisco was solely by ferryboat. That era feels like a distant memory now.

After spending two years on the market, the ownership of the dairy has transitioned to a longstanding Napa family, who purchased it for $6.8 million.

Bodega: We were delighted to learn that the Hagemann Ranch has been purchased by a local family and that the Trout Farm, as well as the sheep and cattle ranching operations, along with horseback riding, will continue. The ranch spans 215 acres and includes multiple homes, workshops, and ranching support facilities. It was sold for $6.250 million. The adjacent 329 ranching acreage sold separately in 2022 for $5.250 million

Geyserville: Pocket Ranch Road encompasses 2700 acres and features four homes, ponds, 2 miles of creek frontage, as well as roads and trails. A bit of online sleuthing unveils vesting to an LLC in Texas. Further investigation reveals that the LLC is involved in oil and alternative energy. The question arises: will it remain a private ranch? Could it transition into a geo-thermal facility? It was sold for $5.95 million.

Sonoma: Ramal Road encompasses 307 acres, with 223 acres dedicated to vineyard cultivation. The property features a farm house and large reservoirs. Interestingly, it was purchased by an international buyer and sold for $24 million.
