Michelle Wood purchased Healdsburg’s iconic Jimtown Store nearly a year ago and has yet to open her deli and café, but Wood is convinced that this year, the Year of the Snake, will be her year.

Since 2014, she has operated her catering business and food truck, Dim Sum and Then Sum. After more than a year of navigating real estate deals, renovations, and red tape, she’s eager to finally bring Jimtown and Then Sum to life.

In Bodega Bay, the Children’s Bell Tower chimes in the wind as a tribute to Nicholas Green, a seven-year-old boy tragically killed during a family trip to Italy in 1994. His parents’ decision to donate his organs saved seven lives and sparked l’Effetto Nicholas—a surge in organ donations across Italy—honored by 140 bells gifted from Italian schools, churches, and ships, with the central bell personally blessed by Pope John Paul II. You can find the bells off HWY 1 in Bodega Bay.
